Calebs elephant / step by step part 1

I'm trying to get better at sewing so that maybe I can make a go of it when the kids are in full time school.
So here's my tutorial for this pattern.
The pattern I'm using is burda 7904.
I don't like to cut up the pattern if I can so I'm using my trusty friend grease proof paper to trace the shapes I need.
I've marked each shape with the number and how many I need.
It's a lot bigger than I thought.
I think I will have to split this post. This is the section where it's the making of the shapes I need and the little things without the sewing machine.
I'm using fleece for this pattern.blue and cream with some spotty cotton for detail, like claw shapes and stars for the blanket.
I need 24 of the claw bits and 6 stars so I need to see these on before i do the proper sewing . There is eyes but I'm thinking of using buttons as I think they will look better and now that caleb is older its not a big risk.
So here's all the pieces cut out. I'm giving myself a week to finish it as I want it to be secure and look fab.
Tonight's job in front of tv is the claws and stars. Will attempt the sewing tomorrow night.
