The boy and me :-)

Today I booked a day off from work and as my husband was at home I decided to take a trip out with caleb. We rarely do anything together so we went to birmingham. We left home at 8:30 in the morning and was there by 9:15 ish.
There is so much to do and things to see . There's a new library there and I wanted to see what It was like. It's huge and caleb was amazed by how big it was . We headed straight to the children's section and caleb grabbed a book and happily took a seat :-)
I was looking forward to taking a ride on the glass lift but was out of order so wee took a lift to the secret garden where caleb pulled faces.
Our next venture was back out to go shopping . Majority of the floors had escalators and I would lived to have gone to the top and took each one.
We didn't manage to get a photo of the outside but here's part.
I had promised caleb to look around the toy shops and he was amazed with all the stuff that was infront of him.
The best picture of the day was seeing bumble bee and caleb managed to get a chance to take a pose. He was amazed .
We only spent a few hours at Birmingham and was back home by 1pm.
Here's our selfie .

We had a lovely morning together . Need to plan some more before the baby comes along. We both got home and managed an hours nap.

Pregnancy is going well and will update Thursday as I have midwife appointment then .
Here's a bump photo to end the post.

Another 6 weeks on and just over half way :-)

Sorry for the delay in posts I really need to do weekly updates. I'm hoping there might be other diabetics checking to see for any updates or Info on diabetes and pregnacy.
I had my average blood test 4 weeks ago and I'm quite pleased with the results. Last check was 9.9% and my recent one was 7.8%. It goes to show with a little determination I can do it and I do believe pregnacy has some magic with getting my sugars right.
Yesterday was my 20 week anomaly scan and all went well. I was scared to find that baby was growing big or there was extra fluids as movements have been odd. With a sigh of relief baby is actually a small baby only on the 9th centile line and currently estimates at 9oz :-)
Here's a picture of baby watts and we are expecting a baby boy :-)
I am over the moon with expecting a boy. I love having a girl but wow esmae is demanding and a screamer . Caleb was a happy and relaxed baby so I'm hoping this is the same for baby watts.
I'm still having monthly eye tests which the diabetic consultant told me even the my sugars are good a quick drop can put pressure on my eyes. You can never win as a diabetic. I'm just happy all is going well and baby is currently small and not big.
I know there is a few weeks for this to change but I'm going to try my hardest to get it right .
My target at e moment is to get to 37 weeks. Blood pressure seems to be holding ok and I have only had one trace of protein yesterday.
Back to antenatal in 4 weeks for scan and review .
