24w and check up .

Today I had a routine check with the midwife at the drs . Everything is going well . Blood pressure is fine , bump is measuring a week behind but that gives me reassurance that baby isn't too big and that I'm doing ok with my diabetes to, also heard baby's heart beat.

On the diabetes side I don't think I'm doing to bad, I'm far from perfect but majority of my sugars are within the range if needs to be. Still having a few lows but I manage to get to them

In time and haven't had any bad ones .

I have have handed in my maternity form so all bieng well I should finish 24th May about 8 weeks time. I have a couple of weekends off before I finish to so know 6 weekends off. I am looking forward to it but will also miss it as my job is great.

I've got a couple of friends that are expecting at the Same time and I've started doing some sewing for baby gifts. I'm in need of some fleece and ribbons so I can finish off. I'm planning on a patchwork blanket and tag blanket with some other hand made bits to.

I'm also doing a bit of paper cutting so tying to do 2 wedding cut outs as gifts. Need to find date of one as it's coming up soon and the other is June but need to do it before I finish work as it's for someone there.

Marriage

Just over 10 weeks and I will have been married for a year. To be honest with you being married doesn't change a lot. Just a name and that your a proper family as one . I don't know if I thought once you were married something would happen but it hasn't. You love each other more but you don't really do things differently . It's amazing that you can say I'm married and that I'm a mrs but unless you think about it you wouldn't know . I often wondered if it would make things get worse as your forever hearing peope getting married then divorced not long after. Maybe it was the constant wonder of what would change or how.

I still have a few things that i need to change my name for but you don't realise. How much there is and even though you try and change it the simple way the company or place needs prof which is always a nightmare . Why would you lie.

I'm glad we did it and would never change it. Nothing's really changed in the last 10 months other than expecting a baby which makes our family complete.

I hope getting married is something that is rushed into just for the sake if it , there has to be live and meaning to getting married .  

After nearly 7 years together we are still going strong and hope we continue to keep each other happy .
